We are proud to be a 100% volunteer led camp. Our volunteers are the backbone of VADC, generously sharing their time, skills, and enthusiasm to make camp happen. Our volunteers create an environment where girls can explore, learn, and build lifelong memories.

Can't volunteer the full week? No problem!

Volunteer for 3 days and receive $100 off registration for one camper.

Volunteer for 2 days and receive $25 off registration for one camper.

Training
-
Attend pre-camp volunteer training sessions to acquire essential skills and knowledge.

Stay informed about camp policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

Participate in daily morning meetings to receive updates, discuss plans for the day, and address any concerns.
Unit Supervision
-
Work collaboratively with a partner to oversee and support a unit of 10-20 girls throughout the camp week.

Provide guidance and assistance to two or more Caddie Girl Scouts who lead unit activities.
-
Support and assist in coordinating activities, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

Camp overnight on Thursday during the camp week to provide continuous supervision and support.
Safety Oversight
-
Prioritize and ensure the safety and well-being of campers and Caddie Girl Scouts.

Be familiar with and adhere to camp safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Setting a Positive Tone
-
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the unit, setting the tone for a supportive and encouraging camp environment.

Lead by example, demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, and a can-do attitude for campers, Caddies, and fellow volunteers.

Actively participate and engage in camp activities.

Qualifications

Must be a registered Girl Scout volunteer.

Must demonstrate a commitment to the Girl Scout mission and values.

Commitment to the safety and well-being of campers and fellow volunteers.

Ability to work collaboratively with a partner and other adult volunteers.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with campers, Caddie Girl Scouts, and fellow volunteers.
